Golden Cap Holiday Park is situated in the seaside village of Seatown, Chideock, 150 metres from the quiet shingle beach, well known for its beach fishing, and about 2 miles from the busy market town of Bridport in West Dorset.

Named after the famous Golden Cap, the highest point on the south coast, Golden Cap Holiday Park is surrounded by over 2,000 acres of National Trust Golden Cap Estate.  It is ideally situated for walking and rambling over the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline and a perfect base for exploring this unique and unspoiled West Dorset countryside.

To the West is the breathtaking climb to the peak of Golden Cap where you can take in the views of the Lyme Bay coastline or continue your walk to Charmouth or Lyme Regis. To the East a walk up past Thorncombe Beacon will drop you down into the picturesque seaside village of Eype and more importantly to the sister park to Golden Cap - Highlands End, where you are welcome to  stop to use the facilities as a guest of West Dorset Leisure Holidays.

If you continue to walk you will reach West Bay situated at the western end of Chesil Beach. Its busy little harbour was important in the 19th century for shipbuilding and for exporting rope and nets. Now it is mainly used by fishermen and locals who offer fishing and boat trips. The little kiosks around the harbour offer a great selection of food including locally caught fish and chips.

There is plenty to do in West Dorset, from attractions, picturesque villages, Market Towns and of course Chesil Beach and the World Heritage Jurassic Coast…..you never know you may just find that special fossil while exploring Charmouth Beach.

We know when you come on holiday all you want to do is sit back and relax and perhaps indulge on local food and drink but if you are looking for that little bit extra out of your holiday experience Golden Cap Holiday Park has its very own Fishing Lake, and has been awarded David Bellamy Gold Status for wildlife conservation.

Other amenities include two large shower blocks with toilets and full laundry facilities. For those of you that need access to the internet Wi-Fi facilities are available across the whole park.
