Welcome to Sandyholme Holiday Park, Owermoigne, Dorchester

One of the features of the park is a duck pond near the entrance with a collection of various breeds of geese and ducks. The fenced pond is enjoyed by adults and children particularly when the eggs hatch and the young ducklings follow 'mum' around the island.

Sandyholme Holiday Park is well positioned for the coastline – Weymouth and Portland [home of the 2012 Olympics for Sailing]; Purbeck and Swanage; Poole and Bournemouth and the World Heritage Jurassic Coastline. Moving inland places to visit include the County Town of Dorchester, Prince Charles’ Poundbury Village and the surrounding Thomas Hardy Countryside. Sandyholme Holiday Park is surrounded by many of Dorset’s rural towns and villages where you can visit for the day and try some local produce. All of these towns are easily accessible either by car or train.

The Tourist Information on park will give you all the details you need about the area as well as the local events and attractions that are on the doorstep, Monkey World and the Tank Museum for instance.

Sandyholme Holiday Park is divided into 2 areas: Sandyholme which is home to privately owned Caravan Holiday Homes; and the Touring Park which is open for seasonal tourers and on the lower and upper meadows for Camping holidays.

The Park also has a children’s play area, a small football pitch, tourist information and a shop for all those essential groceries.

Other amenities include a Shower and Toilet Block and full laundry facilities. For those of you that need access to the internet Wi-Fi facilities are available across the whole park.

Sandyholme Holiday Park is open annually from the third weekend of March until the first weekend in November with the exception of the Lower and Upper Meadows (Touring and Camping). To check dates and availability please ‘click here’ for varying times.
