Dog Friendly Dorset Holidays
Woof! and welcome to West Dorset Leisure Holidays who offer dog friendly Dorset holidays. My name is Harry and my family own the five holiday parks. Loads of dogs visit our Holiday Parks every year with their owners so I thought I should make a special guide just for my doggie friends. We decided I would be a good tour guide for the job as I have lived here all of my life and can take you on a journey of the best things to see and do…
Sorry friends but we need to get this bit out of the way first. The most important thing to remember at the holiday parks are that we must be kept on a lead at all times, this means we have to follow the boss, make sure we don’t get into any trouble and try our best not to have any arguments with other dogs on holiday. Our owners must use a poop scoop and there are dog waste bins that must be used. Only 2 dogs are allowed per reservation (bring your best friend) and make sure your owner never leaves you unattended in our holiday park or in a hot car.
The fun stuff
Highlands End Holiday Park and Graston Copse Holiday Parks have large fields that are used purely for exercising us so we can be let off our lead to play freely and burn off some energy – I bet our owners wonder if we’ll ever come back! But the nice fence around the field will keep us in unfortunately!
The other 3 Holiday Parks don’t have these exercise areas but that’s because they’re surrounded by National Trust land and countryside, which is still a great opportunity for us with long country walks on designated footpaths surrounded by nature.
The Holiday Park shops currently sell most importantly our doggie dinners and snacks but also a range of dog treats. We must keep our noses to the air and sniff them out! Try and convince your boss to take some home rather than that horrible stick of rock. Look out for the clip areas to tie us up safely while your owners are buying us yummy treats! In the Holiday Lodges at Highlands End and Golden Cap, there are dog beds already in the Lodges so your owners don’t need to bring one.
Love coming on dog friendly Dorset holidays with your owners? With so many sights and smells to explore, Dorset is the perfect place to holiday every year. Bring your family back time and again for more doggie holidays with our holiday homes in Dorset. We have dog-friendly Lodges, Premier Camping Pods, Caravans and Bungalows and the pitches for Touring Caravans, Motorhomes and Tents are also dog friendly.
Did you know dogs are only £1 per night in low season for anyone Camping or in a Motorhome / Touring Caravan
“I’m looking forward to seeing you all at the bar at Highlands End, the first round is on me! Us dogs should stick together and if you have any other ideas on how to improve your dog friendly Dorset holidays please do let a member of our staff know!”
Have fun, WOOF!
