Highlands End Holiday Park and Golden Cap Holiday Park are situated on the Jurassic Coast with panoramic views east and west down the coast and across the West Dorset countryside. The Jurassic Coast has UNESCO as a World Heritage Site status, which means it is recognized as being of “outstanding international importance and therefore as deserving special protection.”
The parks are also set within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). This means the area is ‘a precious landscape whose distinctive character and natural beauty are so outstanding that it is in the nation’s interest to safeguard them.’ Our Lodges offer you the opportunity to see the coastline in all it’s majesty right from your doorstep! We’re passionate about sustainability and keeping Dorset as unspoilt as possible, so our Jurassic Coast lodges have been designed to be attractive but understated, blending seamlessly into their natural surroundings.
Many of our Lodges at Highlands End and Golden Cap Holiday Parks are dog friendly and include dog beds, meaning they can serve as the perfect holiday location for the entire family. You will be spoilt for choice when it comes to walking them with the South West Coast Path running past both Parks, with fantastic coast and countryside walks all around. There is also a designated and enclosed dog exercising field at Highlands End Holiday Park to let them off the lead.
The lodges at Highlands End Holiday Park have an enviable location with stunning views over West Bay (Broadchurch). The second series of Broadchurch has placed the spotlight on West Dorset again and what better place to stay then in a beautiful Lodge overlooking the town. Just a 15 minute walk down the South West Coast Path and you can see the cliffs and all the locations made famous in the show. Walk 10 minutes in the other direction on the South West Coast Path and you will see the hut at Eype Beach – the location of the murder in the first series!
“Excellent lodge, beautiful views”
“Highlands End is such a wonderful site, clean and very tidy, spectacular sea and country views and lots of different walks. We stayed in one of the Lodges, complete luxury. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.
“A lovely place to drink wine and gaze at the view – you will not regret it!”
My wife and family have recently stayed in one of the new lodges at this site. What can I say it was absolutely great. The lodge is spacious and very clean with great views over to West Bay. Plenty of room and a well fitted kitchen complete with dishwasher and washing machine should you need it. The decking with its seating is a lovely place to spend time just drinking wine and gazing at the view. The whole site is managed by the most friendly people that you could wish to meet. I do not mean just the reception staff but all staff on the site. I and my family would recommend a stay here. Room Tip: It seems to me that all lodges and caravans have great views. Just go give it a try you will not regret!
