The Purchasing Process
With the third generation of the Cox Family, now managing the business on a daily basis, West Dorset Leisure Holidays have been successfully providing memorable holidays since the early 1970s. Our company pledges include:
- To listen to your needs and requirements
- To make our Sales procedure as simple as possible
- To continually re-invest to maintain and improve the Parks
- To take care of you, not just when you are choosing your dream Holiday Home, but after you have moved in too
- To ask for feedback and to take your comments on board so we can continue to improve the service we provide
Steps to buying your dream Holiday Home
Step 1 – Find the right Park for you
The most important decision you will make first is to pick the Park that suits you best. Each of our Parks are unique and you will find the right one for you. Visit the Owning on a WDLH Park page to find out more about each of our five Holiday Parks.
Step 2 – Visit the Park
It is important to get a feel for the Park and visit the local area to be sure it is the right location for you. Make an enquiry with our Holiday Home Sales team, who will be happy to meet with you and give you a tour of the Park(s) you are interested in.
Step 3 – Choose your Pitch / Holiday Home
Depending on your budget, you may choose to go for one of our vacant Pitches and pick your own Holiday Home that fits your requirements or you may choose a Holiday Home already sited on a Pitch from the large range of new and ‘pre-loved’ Holiday Homes we have for sale at any given time – view our current Sales List.
Step 4 – The little extras
Once you have chosen your dream Holiday Home, the Sales team will be happy to go through any extras available to you, such as your options for a decking and storage box. We are happy to make recommendations and advise you if required. They will also go through the finer details of Holiday Home Ownership with you, such as the running costs, pitch fees, Ramtech alarm and the licence agreement. The team will go through this information with complete clarification to ensure there are no hidden costs and you are fully informed before you make your decision. Pitch fees include rates, water and VAT. The Licence Agreement has been agreed by the British Holiday & Home Parks Association in consultation with the office of fair trading.
Step 5 – Enjoy your Holiday Home
Once everything is finalised, we hope to have you holidaying within 3-4 weeks. You will be pleased to know that there is very little paperwork to complete and our professional in-house ‘siting’ team will ensure that your Holiday Home is prepared on it’s pitch to a very high standard and ready for you to enjoy as soon as possible.
The season length for Caravan Holiday Home Owners is 1st March to 30th November every year. In Lodge Holiday Homes at Larkfield Holiday Park, the season is 46 weeks or 10.5 months, with the close period being 6 weeks in January / February – please note these dates vary every year.
At West Dorset Leisure Holidays, we have strong relationships with a number of excellent Holiday Home manufacturers.
